Intro
What Qualifies as Non-Consumer and Non-Employment Mass Arbitration?
A case qualifies as a non-consumer and non-employment/workplace mass arbitration at the sole discretion of the AAA if the following criteria are met:
- Volume: One hundred or more similar arbitration demands are filed.
- Representation: Consistent or coordinated representation exists across the cases.
Extensive Experience: We administer thousands of arbitrations annually, leveraging a large and geographically diverse panel of arbitrators with a wide range of expertise.
Streamlined Processes: The Mass Arbitration Supplementary Rules are designed to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and provide a fair and effective resolution for all parties.
Not-for-Profit Mission: The AAA prioritizes fairness and affordability, aligning fees with its public-service mission.
A comprehensive spreadsheet containing each claimant’s information, including their address. Ensure all columns are completed and follow the sample format provided in the Rules, Forms, and Fees Library.
A signed affirmation confirming that the information provided for each case is accurate to the best of the representative’s knowledge. Download a sample affirmation in the Rules, Forms, and Fees Library.
A list of all representatives and counsel involved, including names, email addresses, and phone numbers for claimants’ and respondents’ representatives.
In accordance with the Commercial and Construction Arbitration Rules, attach a copy of the applicable arbitration agreement or, if applicable, a court order authorizing arbitration.
A separate Demand for Arbitration or Request for Mediation must be filed for each case, with complete contact information for all parties and representatives. Ensure each document is saved with a unique identifier that corresponds to the case-filing spreadsheet. For example, if the unique identifier on the spreadsheet is 1, the demand should be named 1.pdf. Download the Demand for Arbitration or Request for Mediation from the Rules, Forms and Fees Library.
